Founded by Don McInnes in the 1950's, McInnes Earthmoving has being successfully contracting in Gippsland and Eastern Victoria for over 50 years in the field of civil construction, Earthmoving and Forestry. Don's son Malcolm took over as company Director in 1990 and has developed a close association with local government authorities and private enterprise and enjoys continued business success with companies in these sectors today.

In 1995 Malcolm's son Andrew joined the business as a plant operator and mechanic, as did Malcolm's brother Stuart as a foreman and plant operator. In recent years Malcolm and Andrew have developed the business to integrate Quality, Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Management, and are awaiting certification for their IMS. McInnes Earthmoving has a reputation for its professionalism and quality as shown by testimonials from clients.

McInnes Earthmoving employs 30 local people and incorporates several local subcontractors, generating employment and sustainability within the wider community. Combined, they have a wealth of knowledge and understanding within the construction industry and are continually striving to improve by training and developing their workforce.

In recent years the company expansion has drawn it to major road and civil construction projects, including wetland construction and conservation, sub divisions, construction of landfill cells and transfer stations, road construction and rehabilitation works, water storage reservoirs, bridge construction and all forms of civil works throughout Gippsland.
